Online Virtual Party!
This is your invitation to join us, Bev and Jen, for one of the biggest events in our work life, the annual AKC/Eukanuba National Championship!
Where: Twitter, Facebook, and your local ABC-affiliated television network (check your local TV listings)
When: Sunday, January 23 (check your local TV listings)
WHAT’S YOUR ZONE?
The show will broadcast first in the eastern part of the United States. Most stations are starting the broadcast at 2:00 PM local time (Central Time might be 1:00). You will need to check your local listings for the exact time of the show in your region. Our online virtual party will last for the entire 5 hours it takes for the show to run from the east coast to the west coast. Here’s how that breaks down in each time zone:
- Eastern Time: 2:00 PM to 7:00 PM (TV broadcast starts at 2:00 ET-check local listings)
- Central Time: 1:00 PM to 6:00 PM (TV broadcast starts at 1:00 CT-check local listings)
- Mountain Time: 12:00 PM to 5:00 PM (TV broadcast starts at 2:00 MT-check local listings)
- Pacific Time 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM (TV broadcast starts at 2:00 PT-check local listings)

Join the conversation live on either the AKC/Eukanuba Facebook Wall or the Eukanuba Wall! We’ll be there to answer your questions during the entire 5-hours of virtual party time!

Use the hashtag #EukDogShow to join the conversation on Twitter. And be sure to follow @Eukanuba, @JeniferRVT, and @PetCareBev. As an extra bonus, we’ll have some special guests joining us as the show moves from the east to the west:
- Representing the east and Midwest is Super Size my Cob blogger Jeni, who’s Smooth Collie Hank competed at the show, will answer some of our questions about conformation competitions and raising a show dog. Be sure to follow @5cs_Collies.
- From the Rockie Mountains will be Susi from KnobNotes an owner/breeder/handler of Pulis (those black dogs with the corded coats), and an active member of the dog fancy will share her wit and give us some chuckles about the dog show world. Follow @KnobNots on Twitter.
- On the west coast, Dr. Jessica the veterinarian from Pawcurious will share her experience as a first-time dog show attendee.
- Also joining us will be the winnder of the a 2010 ACE Award Ricochet the Surfing dog and his human, Judy. Ricochet’s early life was dedicated being a service dog, but she had one big distraction: birds! Ricochet may have been released from that program, but she found meaningful service as a surfer and fundraiser for charitable causes—See Ricochet’s video that has had over 3 million hits! You’ll want to follow @Pawcurious and @SurfDogRicochet.
